If you've ever played Rolemaster, you probably love and hate weapon and critical tables. You love them because they create a complex combat system, but loath them when the game slows down to find tables and lookup results. A while ago I managed to extract a bunch of weapon tables and critical tables from Rolemaster Standard Rules (RMSS) Arms Law PDF files, made a sqlite database out of them, and starting toying with doing lookups on a device of some kind. It stalled out, as many projects do, and I forgot about it until recently when I decided to see how well it would work on my phone (Android, Nexus One).

The application contains all standard arms law weapon tables and critical tables, not including martial arts or animals and definitely does not include spells.

It's designed to be fast to use. You can create presets saved with OB, AT, DB, Modifiers, Weapon for different match-ups to quickly move between lookup operations. It can roll dice for you (including open-end-up and down roles) but you can roll yourself if you prefer. I didn't use the android keyboard for any numeric input and instead use pop-up calculator-like dialogs to quickly enter values. I have another to set modifiers (which needs a lot more, I just put in a few to start).

It computes fumbles and wrapping criticals. And if you want to just lookup criticals, you can enter in the critical string by hand and do a lookup that way. I also put a '-' button next to the critical result field to decrement the critical results by one degree, thus making it simple to handle those nasty things that reduce criticals.

There are surely bugs. Some of the criticals may not have proper end formatting. The icons for critical effects are really cheesy. If anyone has specific issues they can drop me a line by emailing duranaki@gmail.com.

I provide this with no warranty or guarantee, and you should already have a copy of Arms Law so you have a reasonable claim to using the weapon tables. :) I doubt it works well on resolutions under 800x480, but feel free to try. Requires android 2.2.
